My Name is Rachel, I am a French artist specializing in watercolours and pencil drawings of flowers and birds on fine paper.
I create jewelry featuring my own illustrations, inspired by 17th-century miniature court portraits.
My key inspirations range from medieval tapestries to Flemish still life paintings from the 17th century, and botanical illustrations from the 19th century. Some of my favourite artists include James Audubon, Rachel Ruysch, and John Smart.
Fascinated by the anatomy of forms, I try to capture the movement of life as well as the textures and tactile sensations of my subjects.
Timeless elegance is my motto.
